We understand that trade will always have an environmental cost.

Which is why HONEYLOCUST is dedicated to reducing its impact as much as possible through its materials, packaging and sourcing

As an act of respect for the environment and artists

we refuse to use AI in our business.

Here are some other ways we pursue sustainability in our practices

Thoughtful packaging

Our bubble mailers are industrially compostable with bubble liners made of PBAT and modified corn starch

As of May 2026, we are using biodegradable clear packing tape made from plant based cellulose that uses a natural rubber adhesive.

To protect our pins and stickers in transit, we pack them in water resistant paper sleeves. This has proven to be effective in protecting products from the rain, but it may not have the near 100% success rate that plastic sleeves provide. If your product arrives with any damage, please reach out with a photo for a replacement or return, and we will be more than happy to oblige!

Thoughtful products

Our blankets are made with 100% cotton and recycled cotton and woven on demand in North Carolina to prevent waste from unsold stock.

As soon as our current supply of waterproof vinyl stickers runs out, we will be switching to paper stickers with a waterproof coating. We aim to launch these by Summer 2026 with a small price increase due to the increased cost of production

Fair Workplaces

We vet all of our manufacturers for safe working conditions and fair treatment of employees.

We work with B Corp certified sourcing company, Yourstuffmade.com to make sure our enamel pins are always ethically produced.

Our jewelry manufacturer is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, which guarantees a commitment to ethical, social, human rights and environmental practices
